We are looking for a skilled scientist to join Pharmacology Research. As research scientist you will be responsible for a portfolio of in vivo studies and for supporting model development within our focus disease areas in both our contract research and drug discovery projects.

Pharmacology Research consists of four departments of animal technicians, laboratory technicians, and scientists working with a variety of rodent models for disease. Our current focus is primarily on diabetes, obesity, NASH/NAFLD, and gastrointestinal diseases but diabetic complications, incl. diabetic nephropathy and cardiovascular disease, represent growing areas of research at Gubra. The in vivo pharmacology area collaborates extensively with all other research groups at Gubra as well as with our external collaborators on both contract research studies and innovation projects.
Your tasks as Research Scientist are varied but include:
Planning and conduction of in vivo pharmacology studies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Participating in coordination tasks within the Pharmacology group and other areas of Gubra to ensure successfully executed studies.
Professional communication with our external stakeholders (customers and collaborators).
Optimizing current methods and models with focus on obtaining high quality data.
Interpreting and reporting study results.
A relevant life science background (e.g. biology, veterinary science, medical biology, biomedicine).
Hands-on experience working with disease models in rodents.
A strong scientific understanding of relevant disease areas, preferably diabetes, obesity, metabolic disease and/or diabetic complications.
Experience performing in vivo pharmacology studies – preferably from drug and/or target discovery programs.
Self-motivated and keen to take on responsibility within your area of expertise.
Curious by nature, motivated by data and not afraid of technical challenges.
Proactive and able to initiate, focus and deliver on tasks and projects.
Able to navigate and collaborate in an energetic and rapidly changing organization.
And have good communication skills.
