The team also supports the preparation of model inducers and provides scientific input to Sales, Projects and Pharmacology teams on reference compounds, formulation vehicles, and procedures.

You will join a dedicated team of 2 Scientists and 8 Laboratory Technicians who work closely together and collaborate across departments at Gubra.

Your key responsibilities

As our new Formulation Scientist, you will:

  • Act as Formulation Responsible Scientist on studies, working closely with cross-functional study teams to review protocols, troubleshoot, and optimize formulation procedures.
  • Prepare working instructions for technicians and support them on formulation methods and logistics.
  • Apply knowledge of vehicles, excipients, solubility, and stability to support high-quality formulation handling for in vivo studies in rodents and minipigs.
  • Provide formulation expertise to Sales, Study Directors, and project teams.
  • Contribute to digital development and structuring of formulation workflows.
  • Support with hands-on lab work, including preparation of formulations and use of equipment such as CAD, osmometer and spectrometric tools.

Your qualifications

We imagine that you have:

  • An MSc or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences or a related field.
  • Hands-on knowledge of or curiosity about preclinical formulation for in vivo studies, including solubility and stability assessments.
  • Interest in or experience with formulation challenges across various compound types, such as peptides, antibodies, and small molecules.
  • A structured and analytical mindset, with a strong focus on data quality and documentation.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in a cross-functional setting.

Who you are

  • You are proactive and take initiative to drive tasks forward.
  • You work in a structured way and thrive with deadlines.
  • You bring a strong quality mindset and attention to detail.

About Gubra

Gubra is an ambitious biotech and contract research organisation (CRO) company striving for excellence at all levels. We insist on doing things efficiently – and often differently - to reach the results we aim for. Our vision is to become leaders in the path towards a more sustainable and healthier world. We do that by facilitating the discovery of new medicine, and by acting and inspiring others to fight the ongoing climate and biodiversity crises.

Gubra’s activities are focused on the early stages of drug development and are organised in two highly synergistic business areas: Biotech and CRO Services. We generate our revenue by performing research for life science companies as well as by partnering projects from our discovery and development pipeline.

Our therapeutic focus is within metabolic and fibrotic diseases, and we specialize in in vivo pharmacology, ex vivo assays, drug profiling, histology, stereology and whole brain and organ imaging. In addition, we offer a full palette of advanced transcriptomics. Our ML/AI-driven peptide drug discovery platform streaMLine enables us to rapidly develop a peptide hit into a non-clinical candidate ready for development. Through a constant focus on high quality, scientific excellence, speed, and solid teamwork we have established ourselves as a highly professional and competent partner in the market.

People are our greatest asset, and our team consists of +280 employees all located in Hørsholm, Denmark.
