Gubra is looking for a 3-Dimensional (3D) Imaging Research Scientist for our Tissue Research department, which consists of a competent and dedicated team of researchers and laboratory technicians. An important and fast-growing part of Tissue Research is our 3D Imaging activities. The Tissue Research department is primarily occupied with 3D imaging and histology on many different tissues such as brain, liver, kidney, heart, lung, and adipose tissue. We support our contract research organization (CRO) as well as our early target and drug discovery programs by conducting a broad variety of 3D Imaging and histological analyses. Our focus is on the metabolic science field within CNS, obesity, NASH, kidney diseases, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases.
You hold a Master degree in natural science and have interest for 3D Imaging and histology/histopathology within preclinical research. It will be an advantage if you have some hands-on experience with microscopes, general histological methods (tissue processing, histochemical staining, etc.) as well as some histopathological knowledge. It is also an advantage if you have experience with preclinical animal models.

As 3D Imaging Research Scientist in our Tissue Research department, you are supporting this vision by taking ownership of the given responsibilities and tasks. Gubra will support development of your skills within 3D Imaging and preclinical research.
Your tasks as 3D Imaging Research Scientist include:
Contribution to the work in our laboratory with sample preparation for the light sheet microscopes.
Operation of our laboratory robots.
Daily operations of our light sheet microscopes.
Contribute to the daily study logistics
Collaboration with scientists and technicians across the organization.
At a later stage:
Plan and run 3D Imaging studies including reporting and preparing scientific data presentations in collaboration with experienced colleagues.
Advice and guide our CRO customers and internal research projects to obtain the most qualifying study designs.
Professional and personal qualifications
Master in natural sciences such as biology, human biology, biochemistry or similar.
Keen to get new skills within 3D Imaging, and to support senior scientists in their daily tasks.
Curious by nature, motivated by data and not afraid of technical challenges.
Good planner and like to work with tight deadlines.
Good communicator with stakeholder management skills.
Able to navigate and collaborate in an energetic and rapidly changing organization.
